The allusion to Rose shouldn't be completely unknown, though he doesn't think he's probably spent at much time as would be necessary to know the horror of that single tooth.
He's not used to this, having someone-- and with Marcus, having someone turns into having someones plural, because Marcus has a kid and friends and he's pretty sure said kid has a couple of boyfriends and a pet goblin that's been taking bets on all of it. He used to clock into work, do a shift as Dan the hospice worker, and then clock out, to do a shift as Dan the person, and sometimes the second felt like just as much of a slog.
