Dan's not a great liar in general, but the thing about being with Marcus is that he can't think of a situation in which he'd need that skill-- at least for anything between them. With others, he's able to pick a bit here and there with the shining that to get a foot in the door.
He grins, biting down on his lip at the compliment, and when he takes the sketchbook, he leans into Marcus's side, a reassuring weight to make sure Marcus knows he's not going anywhere.
"You know," he says thoughtfully, after a quiet few seconds, "this guy you've been drawing. I think you might have a crush on him." He leans up to kiss the corner of Marcus's mouth. "It really doesn't bother me. I like it. I'd be happy to pose for something a little more intimate, if you wanted."
