Marcus only nods, then kisses Dan again before he sits up and sits back and reaches for the bedside drawer. Even though Dan has slept in this very bed already, a part of Marcus had still worried he might feel guilty having him here like this, in the bed he had once shared with someone else, someone he loved very much, but there's no guilt now. There's nothing to feel guilty about and the realization that he's not carrying anything like that into this new relationship makes him shiver with pleasure.

"I'll go slow," he promises as he drops the bottle of lubricant on the bed beside Dan. He kisses the inside of Dan's knee, then nuzzles against the unexpectedly soft skin, one of those places on a person's body he thinks rarely get touched. At the same time, he slides one hand up the inside of Dan's thigh and his palm glides over his skin, over his balls so his fingers can press gently at Dan's hole. He hasn't put any lubricant on his hand yet, he's not looking to press inside of him, he only wants to touch Dan gently, to get him used to all of this before he does anything else.
