Marcus has never felt something as purely romantic as this. He would think himself foolish if not for the fact that he can sense it from Dan, too, this feeling of something bigger than they've realized, and he has to put it out of his head for the moment or risk undoing himself entirely in that feeling. Instead he braces one hand on the bed beside Dan's head and leans down to kiss him as he slowly lets his hips roll forward at the same time. It's a gentle motion, he's taking his time, he still doesn't want to hurt Dan at all and every movement comes after a brief pause in which he hopes Dan will speak up if something doesn't feel right.
After a moment he lifts his head a little, wanting to see Dan's face, wanting to watch. He had been so completely beautiful when Marcus had drawn him sleeping, but in this moment, his eyes wide, the way he's looking up at Marcus, it's incredible.
