Marcus is never sure of Bennett would approve or disapprove of the man he's become. He's gentler, certainly, and happier besides. That he's happy at all would likely be a surprise to Bennett, who had often been the man to bear the brunt of his anger, his sarcasm, and his dismissive flippancy.
