▶ LIVING CONDITIONS: Relatively sparse. Marcus has lived a by his vows for the most part, but the easiest for him to follow was poverty. He's never really had a home, moves around a lot, and has no problem living without much to his name. His apartment in Darrow will be essentially as he found it, with the addition of an easel, canvases and charcoal drawings and paintings littered around the empty space. The art supplies are the only real personal touch that will be found in the apartment. He doesn't have trinkets, doesn't care to hang art, and his belongings will remain minimal. Clothing, simple toiletries and kitchen necessities. Not much more.

▷ external▶ SIGHT: Tall and wiry, Marcus doesn't appear to be anything out of the ordinary at first glance. He's a good looking man in his early fifties, clearly fit, though it's just as clear he's not particularly concerned with making a fashion statement. Nothing about him will stand out, nothing seems particularly exceptional. This is how he likes it, because it makes it easy for him to blend in and find information when he needs to.

» DEFINING CHARACTERISTICS:
» STYLE: Jeans, boots, simple shirts, button downs over t-shirts, leather jackets, all relatively slim fitting and in neutral colours. Marcus is very simple when it comes to his wardrobe, but at the same time he's well dressed and knows what looks good on him.
▶ SOUND: His accent is West Midlands, his voice is strong and sometimes almost musical, the cadence of his sentences not always what you'd expect. He can be extremely commanding, but when it comes to speaking with children or when he's flirting, there's almost always a sense of laughter in his tone.
▶ SMELL: Faintly smoky, like candles that have just been blown out and charcoal.
▶ TOUCH: While he wouldn't necessarily recognize it, Marcus is starved for touch and affection. He's had very little of it in his life, but unlike most people who go without, he doesn't have any issue expressing his own physical affections. He's an extremely touchy man and he often reaches out for people without much thought, patting arms or squeezing the back of someone's neck, touching their cheek or holding their face between his hands. He's also an extremely close talker and tends to ignore any social rules about personal space, which I imagine might make some people uncomfortable.

▶ MENTAL HEALTH: Not great. Marcus had a very traumatic childhood. At age seven, he witnessed his mother's brutal murder at the hands of his father, then shot his father through the throat in return and his father died while still trying to strangle Marcus to death. He was bullied horribly in the boys' home where he was sent, often ended up in the infirmary as a result, and had a short history of cutting himself to deal with the anger and the pain. Most of that has since been funnelled into exorcisms, but he's far from healthy. He suffered a distinct lack of physical and emotional affection for his entire life and doesn't always know how to express his feelings in a healthy manner. He's prone to aggression and will sooner lash out at people than let them get too close. That said, he's also sort of starving for approval and love, so give him time.
▶ PHYSICAL HEALTH: Relatively fit for a man in his fifties. He's thin, with very little fat in his frame, but he's lean and muscular. He doesn't smoke or drink often enough for it to be a real detriment to his health.
▶ INFORMATION FOR PSYCHICS AND OTHER MAGIC USERS: No defenses against psychics or magic users. Anything in his narrative is a free for all for anyone who can read minds, but any magic being used against him I would rather have discussed with me first.
