The kiss takes him off guard in a wonderful way. It's a quick kiss, just a soft press of Dan's lips, but it still sends Marcus's heart beating double time, another grin curving his mouth even as he kisses Dan back. His fingers feel like they're tingling, the sort of pins and needles feeling he gets when he falls asleep on his arm, but it's from excitement this time. Excitement and nerves and anticipation.

"They don't want to hear about your plans for this evening?" he asks as he takes a seat on the sofa and pointedly tries not to think about sitting here with Dan. Maybe not tonight, maybe after another date, but the simple thought still makes him smile again, even as he tries not to think about the things they could do on this couch. "That's terribly rude of them, isn't it? Don't they make you listen to them?"

He feels silly and light hearted, all things he'd thought were gone from his life.
