Dan looks a little gobsmacked, not by the idea of holding Marcus's hand in public-- something he likes very much, honestly-- but by the idea that Marcus seems just fine with this aspect of the shine. He has to stand there more a moment, looking a bit dumbstruck and a bit more hopeful.
